Who Should I Marry? 1 3rd June(Monday),2013 2nd Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light and darkness have? It became important that I bring this to fore. I have for a very long time been seing people crying of confusion, when they are actually the author of confusion. Marriage is a too sacred institution that must never be compromised with mere feelings. Who should I marry is one of the most prominently featured question on the request list of singles. This question is often asked rhetorically and not to seek clarification. The Word of God should be a standard for everything thing in life. If the Word is against it, then you are to be against it and if the Word of God supports it, then you are to support it. Decision to be married to an unbeliever with the mindset to change the fellow is a spiritual arakiri. One have automatically usurped the role of the Holy Spirit. Tell me, how many people have been converted by you in the last five years? It is not your duty to change people, but God’s intervention through the help of the Holy Spirit does. You can only do your part as human and leave the rest to God. The moment you base your marital decision on feelings or just love, you have set life time error in motion. Generational error. It takes more than love to accept people and conclude life patnership with them. Character compatibility, Spiritual compatibility and love are very germane and must never be down played. If love should be the only reason, why do couple jilt or divorce themselves and still claim to love eachother despite not being together? If he or she is not Godly, then the marriage is going to be gory. He/she must be a Jesus fan in order to be qualified for marriage. Godly and be spiritually matured to understand why there was a need for male and female in the first place. What necessitated their coming together. Tob cntnd Wishing you a great week.
