CONTEMPORARY YOUTH AND CONTEMPORARY LIVING 2 August 25(Sun),2013 Genesis 39:8&9 But he refused and said to his master’s wife, see here, with me in the house my master has concern about nothing; he has put all that he has in my care. He is not greater in this house than I am; nor has he kept anything from me except you, for you are his wife. How can I do this great evil and sin against God. Sometimes, I wonder weather the meaning of civilisation is throwing morals and Godly virtues under our feet, but nay. Civilisation has to do with being enlightened and getting to catch up with positive developments in this world. Joseph called proposal for sexual intercourse with his master’s wife great evil against God. I have seen youths of this generation describing anormally of such an opportunity to make money. Fulfilling destiny is far worth more than all the million dollars in the US government treasury. I suggest this generation discover purpose first before embarking on a mission to become famous. Fame sought without being purpose driven is a disaster waiting to happen. Being wealthy is a compensation for purpose discovery and fulfilling it. Daniel 1:20 says that the king found Daniel and his friends to be ten times better than their contemporaries. ” The purpose you discover and work to fulfill will make people to find you and adequately compensate you”. The time you spend with God to discover purpose can not be equated with 30days work for a pay check. Contemporary youths is expected to be a useful youth; a youth that will contribute positively to this world and not add to the problems of this world. Giving consent to temporary gratification will not get one fulfilled, but paying ones due for future compensation. Enjoy yourself in God’s presence. Good morning.
