Luke 4: 12 And Jesus replied to him, The scripture says, you shall not tempt the Lord your God. Jesus gave us a practical example on how to handle the devil. God knows that devil is so crafty and subtle, hence defeating him requires wisdom (Jesus is the Wisdom of God). How many of you knows that devil is always relentless and pressing in getting the chosen down. Despite the anointing upon Jesus, devil still went to Him. Jesus did not negotiate terms and conditions touted by the devil, but rather rebuked him by the Word. There are so many ways this generation is negotiating with the devil. One of such is making evil communication to pre-occupy their discussion. How should a Christian make prohibition of same sex marriage the center piece of discussion since Nigeria government announced the passage of the bill against same sex. Words are powerful, whether written or verbal, and the more you bring satanic issues to become subject of discussion, the more you are inviting controversy and looking at the terms and conditions. Our generation must wake up and move forward. God has given us power to make choices, but He admonished us to choose life so that we shall live eternally. Jesus is the way, the truth and life. Choose Jesus and discard the devil. The word of God says resisit the devil and he will flee. The Word of God is potent in doing that. In all you are going to do this week, command the devil off your way through God’s Word. Do not negotiate with the devil. Feel free to share this message with others.
