Joshua 1:1
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,

Followership may seem a commitment that will not pay off. It may seem a thankless devotion unto the vision of another person. The cost of being a good follower is that which will make you to be conscious of your functioning irrespective of God’s anointing upon your life. Joshua was in the service of ministering under Moses throughout his lifetime. It was never recorded that Joshua felt God should have been dishing instructions to him too. He waited for his time.

Waiting for your time to shine is a good way of getting it right with God. Let God lead and you be a good follower. Moses was taking instruction from God directly and Joshua too was taking instruction from Moses. Despite the fact that God audibly spoke to Samuel, Samuel did not make move of challenging Eli’s authority because God had been speaking with him expressly.

Do not outpace God in living your life because it will be suicidal doing so. Samuel and Joshua payed the price of followership before they could come to limelight.

Good morning and have a great day.
