QUALIFICATIONS:

For Post (i):

    Candidate must possess National Diploma in Hotel Keeping and Catering Management and four (4) credit passes in any subject at one sitting or five (5) credit passes at two (2) sittings and at least passes in English Language and Mathematics in WAEC/ or NECO
    Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test III in relevant discipline as indicated above.

For Post (ii-iii):

    Prospective candidate must possess 4 credit passes in any subject or 5 credit passes in any subject at two sittings which must include Physics plus at least passes in English Language and Mathematics in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate or NECO or NABTEB.
    Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test III in relevant discipline as indicated above.

For Post (iv-v):

    Candidate must possess a minimum of four (4) credit passes in any subject plus at least Passes in English Language or Mathematics in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate or NECO.

SALARY

For Post (i):

    CONHESS 05 STEP 01 – N389,519.00 per annum

For Post (ii-v):

    CONHESS 02 STEP 01 – N271,423.00 per annum

FUNCTION

For Post (i):

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

    Planning daily menus.
    Supervising the preparation and serving of food.
    Ensuring cleanness and orderliness.
    Checking daily sales to ensure proper accounts.
    Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (ii-iii):

    Assisting in the performance of routine trades, job that requires fabrication, processing, installation, maintenance or repairs of buildings, electrical & mechanical system, vehicles, mobile and equipment on a task and procedure basis and any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (iv):

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

    Removing corpses from the wards to the mortuary.
    Keeping records of corpses in the mortuary rooms.
    Seeing to the cleanliness of mortuary rooms.
    Assisting in the embalmment of corpses and any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (v):

    Successful candidates will be required to perform the duties assigned to the post as specified in the Federal Schemes of Service.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:

Conditions of Service for the posts are similar to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria.

A good University Degree in Medical Laboratory Science and registrable with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria plus evidence of completion or exemption from N.Y.S.C.

For Post II

    A good University Degree in Medical Laboratory Science and registrable with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
    Candidate must possess a good University Degree from a recognized institution.
    Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma in Dental Hygiene from an approved school of Dental Therapy.
    Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma or University Degree from approved school of Dental Technology or University.
    Candidate must possess a good University Degree in Dietetics from a recognized Institution.

For Post III:

    Candidate must possess five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate or NECO.
    In addition, candidate must have successfully completed three years training in a recognized institution and obtained the Registration of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria for Technician Cadre.

For Post IV:

    Applicants must possess B.Sc. in Nursing or NRN plus any of the following post basic qualifications: Nursing Anaesthesia, Midwifery, Accident and Emergency, Perioperative Nursing, Ophthalmic Nursing, Intensive Care, Psychiatric Nursing, Otolaryngology Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing, Burns and Plastic Nursing, Paediatric Nursing and Public Health Nursing from a recognized institution.
    All applicants must be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria with evidence of current practicing licence.
    All applicants with B.Sc. in Nursing must have evidence of completion of or exemption from the N.Y.S.C.

For Post V:

Candidate must possess a degree in Civil Engineering registrable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) plus evidence of completion of NYSC or exemption from NYSC.

For Post VI:

Candidate must possess National Certificate in Health Records Technician after successful completion of the prescribed three (3) years Training Programme in a recognized institution or College of Health Technology.

For Post VII:

Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma (H.N.D.) in Health Records/Health Information Management or A Degree in Health Records Administration/Health Information Management from a recognized University plus evidence of completion of or exemption from N.Y.S.C.

For Post VI and VII: Candidates to either of the positions must obtain a current practicing license.

For Post VIII:

Candidate must possess a Degree in Health Records Administration/Health Information Management from recognized University plus evidence of completion of or exemption from the N.Y.S.C.

For Post IX:

    Candidate must possess a good Masters Degree in Speech Therapy/Special Education plus evidence of completion of or exemption from N.Y.S.C.
    Possession of a Ph.D in Speech Therapy will be an added advantage.
    Candidate with relevant experience in a hospital based audiological centre has an added advantage.
    All applicants must be duly registered with the relevant Regulatory and Professional Bodies.

For Post X:

    Candidate must possess a good Masters Degree in Audiology/Special Education from a recognized institution plus evidence of completion of or exemption from N.Y.S.C.
    Possession of a Ph.D in Audiology will be an added advantage.
    Candidate with relevant experience in a hospital based audiological/speech therapy centre has an added advantage.
    All applicants must be duly registered with the relevant Regulatory Professional Bodies.

For Post XI:

    Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution plus evidence of completion of or exemption from N.Y.S.C.

For Post XII:

    Candidate must possess B.Sc. Degree in Health Records Administration/Health Information Management or Bio-Statistics from a recognized University and be registered with and hold a current practicing license of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN).
    In addition to (a) above, possession of a Masters Degree in Health Information Management, or in any of the core disciplines being run in the Programme (Statistics, Management Science and Computer Science) will be an added advantage.
    Candidates with H.N.D. in Health Records Administration/Health Information Management or Bio-Statistics and who hold registration and current Practicing License of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) plus Masters Degree in relevant disciplines are also eligible to apply.
    Candidates must have minimum of twelve (12) years experience and at least five (5) of these years must have been spent as a Lecturer in a school environment.
    Candidates must have evidence of Completion or Exemption from the N.Y.S.C.

For Post XIII:

    Candidate should be in the Nursing profession and be doubly qualified as a registered Nurse and registered Midwife. Retired Nursing Officer/Midwife with considerable previous experience are encouraged to apply.

For Post XIV:

    Candidate must possess a degree in Nursing Science obtained from a recognized University plus evidence of completion of or exemption from NYSC.
    Possession of certificate of Registration as a Nurse/Midwife Tutor from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria is an added advantage.

FUNCTIONS:

For Post (I):

Carrying out diagnostic tests, assisting in documentation and preparation of periodic reports, analytical and experimental studies, identifying for stores and medical equipment studies and producing special medicine for vaccines and diagnostic work, and any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (II) A – E:

Successful Candidates will be expected to perform all relevant duties in their respective departments including any periodic ones as may be assigned by the Heads of Departments.

For Post (III):

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

    Collecting, examining and analyzing specimen from patients to provide the information required by Medical Officer for diagnosis and treatment.
    Preparing chemical solution, reagents, slides and culture media for laboratory tests.
    Caring for and maintaining laboratory equipment.
    Carrying out microscopic examination of specimen for pathogens and any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (IV):

Successful candidates will be required to perform general nursing and other related duties.

For Post (V):

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

    Carrying out preliminary surveys and investigation on all types of civil engineering activities
    Preparing engineering designs in steel, reinforced and pre-stressed concrete
    Carrying out tests on highway materials
    Preparing cost estimates and tender documents for projects to be executed.
    Assisting in the maintenance of the institution’s roads
    Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (VI-VII):

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

    Assisting in the arrangement of medical records
    Organizing, classifying and taking custody of records
    Collecting and computing medical statistics
    Assisting in the creation, storage and retrieval of patients’ record and any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (VIII):

Successful candidates will teach and prepare the students of School of Health Information Management for both internal and external examinations and made to perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of the School from time to time.

For Post (IX):

Successful candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:

    Ensure the keeping of confidential and adequate records of patients/clients.
    Perform speech assessment of patients/clients.
    Participate actively in planning and execution of rehabilitation modalities for speech impaired patients.
    Participate in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with speech and swallowing disorders.
    Counselling of patients with speech and swallowing disorders.

For Post (X):

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

    Keeping of adequate and confidential records of the unit activities and her clients.
    Perform audiological assessment of patients/clients.
    Participate actively in planning and execution of rehabilitation modalities for hearing impaired patients.
    Participate in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with balance disorders.
    Counselling of patients with speech and hearing disorders.
    Training and rehabilitation of hearing impaired patients using total auditory rehabilitation techniques.
    Any other duties that may be assigned by the head of department from time to time.

For Post (XI):

Setting out building, roads, preparing schedule of materials to be used for construction works, taking charge of a project and assisting in supervising the duties of a member of junior staff, and any other duties as may assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

For Post (XII):

Successful candidates are expected to perform the professional duties of the Head of School and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

For Post (XIII):

Successful candidates will be required to perform duties of a Home Sister, and any other professionally related duties as may be assigned by the Management.

For Post (XIV):

Teaching and Supervision of Nursing students in accordance with the syllabus and standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, and other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
